Elements of Theatre Design is an 8-credit second-semester module that forms part of your
Higher Certificate in Performing Arts Technology. This module seeks to support students in
learning some basic theatre design, fabrication and installation skills and techniques.
This module seeks to offer students some tangible and practical skills related to script
analysis, design iteration and practical object-making. Particular attention is given to
introducing students to practical puppet-making and set design processes that are linked to the HC/Industry interface project this year, which uses King of Broken Things as our basis for creation and creativity.
