Lighting and Sound: Theory and Practice 1B is a 20-credit second-semester module that forms part of your Higher Certificate in Performing Arts Technology. This module seeks to grow students’ capacities as crew members for live performance productions and their capacities for rigging and operating on a variety of live production outputs. The intention, primarily, is to build industry readiness as crew members through experiential and simulated learning opportunities.

This module is practice-led, so it incorporates and reinforces theoretical learning in areas of lighting and sound from semester 1, while applying these to working scenarios that simulate a variety of industry environments where technicians and crew members work.
