Welcome to this Faculty of Health Sciences General Education module. Other modules in your course are aimed at providing you with specific knowledge about your future profession as a practitioner in the field. The purpose of this module is to enable students to gain awareness of self, society and environment in relation to their role as professional practitioners and to enhance your engagement within the work place and relevant discipline of healthcare practice.
At the end of the module you should be able to identify and understand knowledge and information of the environment in a variety of contexts, e.g. DUT, Durban, KZN, Nationally, Continentally, and Globally and be in a position to reflect on experiences and document thoughts and feelings effectively and present them verbally and in writing around themes.
