Applied Office Practice is a module crafted to build on students’ existing knowledge of running an architectural practice with advanced concepts relating to practising in the profession and applying these strategies and techniques. The module aims to develop knowledge of business-related systems that students can use as entrepreneurs. This module seeks to advance the students ability of critical thinking, rationalisation, and problem-solving skills. Applied Office Practice is a lecture-based module with a collaborative, seminar-style approach to teaching and learning through a student-centred approach. This module uses a summative assessment style comprising assignments and projects to advance teacher and student knowledge and assess learning over one semester. The course ends with a culmination of a body of work to evaluate the student’s journey throughout the semester, concluding in a final mark awarded.
