Advanced Public Relations is designed for 4th year students specialising in Public Relations and Communication Management.

The practice of public relations is rapidly changing and has experienced exponential growth in the last few years as a field that can be carried out in various contexts and sectors.

The purpose of this module is to equip students with the theoretical knowledge needed to engage analytically and critically with key concepts, issues and practices in public relations in various contexts.

The module will introduce students to advanced principles and techniques underpinning public relations practice. In addition, the module will enable the student to understand the importance of ethics and maintaining professional standards in public relations practice.

Through readings, lectures and discussions as well as assessments, students will have various opportunities to engage with critical debates in the field as well as explore its growth and development in local and global contexts.
