The purpose of the module is to give the students an integrated and thorough understanding of the structure and functioning of the systems of the human body, in order to form a basis for other courses in the learning programme of Somatology. The subject is offered by the Department of Basic Medical Sciences which is a service department within the Faculty of Health Sciences.
