Welcome to Acting Techniques IVA. I am looking forward to working with you this year, extending your knowledge and skill in applying a range of acting approaches. This module is designed to provide the student with experience in applying relevant contemporary Acting Techniques to inform creative choices and approaches for performance . Study will include the application of approaches by Stella Adler, Uta Hagen, Michael Chekhov, David Mamet and William H. Macy’s Practical Aesthetics, and Viola Spolin. These performances will include an exploration of written and performance text. In applying these techniques in presentations, material may range in style.
